It's so tempting to stop and watch their play all the time. The funny things they do & say. We have to catch them without them knowing. This stuff is too precious.

My kids play like this all the time. They often pretend to be me and my husband too cute.

We have a lot of free play in our house, at various times I guess. I love seeing what they come up with and interjecting a little and then stepping back again. Imagination has been slow to develop for my special needs son, but has finally blossomed. My 2 year old daughter is great at it. I love hearing her say "blah, blah, blah, Okay? Okay!" "blah, blah, blah, Okay? Okay!" Over and over again. It's a hoot!

Great post. These were some of the best days when my girls were little -when I'd sit back and just let them play totally undirected. I would have loved to have a camera on them sometimes (but that usually ruins it too) to remember some of the hilarious things they said. Too fun!
