Have you been in the pool lately?

Chances are you have with the record hot temperatures here in the US. With two little ones we have been going to the little water parks. You know the ones you see at the theme parks that spit water from the ground at different times. So you’re unsuspecting toddler ambles over to have a look and then out comes a geyser of water… Or the one that seems to throw water left to right.

Well these places have been a welcome relief. The little guy can splash about and the big guy can run in and out of the spray. These parks are everywhere. We had to buy water shoes as the area is wet and slippery. But it’s been a good investment considering how hot this summer has been and how often we’ve used them.

After they have cooled off they go to play on the swings and slides.

The surfaces are usually so hot to touch are easier to use once you are wet. Soon enough they are too hot again and off we go back to the water park 10ft away.

A winning combination.

I really wish I could get into the pool more but with a toddler and a preschooler plus the pools around us were big ones. It just didn’t work out unless I had another pair of hands.

The little guy is like a duck to water whereas his brother is the opposite. The big guy wants to be in but is scared once in. I found these quick and easy tips that really helped me know what to do in the pool with each child.
