I’ve had Guest posts on here before and loved having another point of view and perspective to share.  Meeting new people through blog posts is a lot of fun. I’ve found some new and exciting pe0ple through a guest post on other blogs where they have written on a new blog I read or familiar writers writing for someone else. That someone else swiftly added to my feed reader. There are a lot of talented play people out there and lots of new voices coming up all the time.

I’ve written a few guest posts myself and I have really enjoyed the community and engagement.  So for 2010 I wanted to write some guidelines and encourage you if you like to write that you should consider writing a guest post for Play-activities. You don’t have to have a blog just something important you want to share about Early Childhood play.

We’d love to have you!

Play Activities guest blog post guidelines

What kind of content do you accept?

Anything that is useful for our readers is good content for a guest post here. It must be related to Early years play and be within the spirit of what I have been writing about- namely age appropriate, fun play without gadgets and batteries. Posts can also be derived from your own personal experiences around Early years play. There is no minimum length for your post. I’d rather quality over quantity. Get a good handle on what I write here by checking out the sidebars for categories or popular posts.

Guidelines

  • Your post must be original and must have never been published before on the Internet
  • You agree to not publish the post anywhere else (i.e., in your own blog or as a guest post in other blogs)
  • You can include up to two links in the byline, which will be displayed.
  • Your content must be of good quality and not purely self promotional. Let your content shine.

How do I submit my guest post?

If you have a post that meets the guidelines above, you can send it to me on via email melitsaATplay-activities DOTcom. I’ll get back to you to let you know. If I reject your post, you are obviously free to use it in your own blog or to propose it as a guest post to some other website.

Posts submitted as text files with HTML are great because I’m using Wordpress or a shared Google document. I can then just cut and paste with minimal fuss. Feel free to check the best way to format and send posts so pictures and layout will appear as you desire:)if the first two options do not work for you.
