The things we do…………

Rolling. Crawling on all fours. Running cars, trains, blocks, action figures, lego people up and down…… my children just can’t seem to get enough of being on the carpet almost nose to nose with the fibres.

The LO has the most fun running and climbing but can be persuaded to roll or throw a ball legs out and sitting down for a few moments. His mummy on the other hand can if she can be propped up with the couch helping.

When did sitting on the floor become so uncomfortable?

The MO invited me to play a puzzle with him on the floor and partly because his little brother kept falling on the pieces, but mostly because it was hard to sit on my knees we moved onto the table. ( LO takes a lot longer to reach us and we can head him off. We see him coming)

When did sitting on my knees become so uncomfortable?

We all decided to create some amazing tracks. Since mummy is track challenged it usually takes a while of careful consideration, rubbing of the forehead and lots of muttering under my breath.

Now with two helpers in toe; one who forces the track to do amazing things but pulls half of it away again when he realises it won’t work….now. The other who gets so excited that his tracks takes off across the carpet but fails to ever meet and then me. Trying to reconcile both.

I need the tracks to meet. I need the tracks to meet.

I need the tracks to meet before the LO wakes up so the BG and the MO get a chance to play together without interruption.

I need the tracks to meet!

I’m on the floor for a while. When did this become so uncomfortable?

I do love being on the floor playing with the children. I don’t love what I can see so close to the ground.  The view is different down there.

When did it become so uncomfortable to be on the floor? Is this the only reason you don’t go on the floor? Do you prefer to play on the table? Can you sit on the grass without a blanket?………….am I the only one brave enough to fold myself up and get down on the floor?

Do you get on the floor with your children? Do you bring it up to your level?

The floor is definitely the preferred place to play for us. Although we move onto the table to avoid the baby destroying games (not going to work for much longer though). The floor just seems easier than moving things up onto the table.

Yes we have the baby destroying games too. We’re learning a lot of patience………well most of the time. It is frustrating when all he wants to do is knock down and they want to build. Thanks for stopping by.
