Stuck for play ideas?……..

Sometimes we get caught up in thinking that getting your child lots of toys is the answer. Here at play-activities we use toys but try and use everyday things we have at home to stimulate, enrich and cause the kids to have some darn good engrossing fun!

There are lots of great books to help kick start your imagination and lead your children to enjoy their childhood job- play. See our recommendations.

I’m really excited to have found your site through Mommy Fest. I’m looking forward to adding to my stockpile of activities to do with my little one. I’m sure some of them will wind up on our blog as well (with credit to you of course!). Thanks!

Oh and as for the book, my four year old is already a little scientist. He loves anything living, so this book is definitely on my must have list. How nice of you to be giving one away.

Thanks for the comment on my blog HerBigIdea.com. I love your website and blog, especially being a former elementary school teacher. My son was born with a rare birth defect affecting his eyes so he has been going to early intervention classes since he was 5 months old. They do “play therapy” with him. I’ve learned so much about child development and just being a better parent from watching them just play. Your product is perfect for ANY parent.

I just forwarded your website to my moms group. I do a lot of art related activities with my daughter, so I’m looking forward to learning more about different types to play!
