Stuck on baby play ideas?
Play-activities for babies? Singing, talking, changing them positions. There are so many things you can do with a baby. It’s not about hot housing them and trying to get them to do things before their appropriate developmental stage but instead stimulating, calming and soothing them into the world.
Baby play-activities encourage bonding and set the stage for play interaction as they get older. The best advice is to get outside and walk with your baby whatever the weather. It’s great for your mental health and the baby will enjoy the change of scene.

Play activities includes movement. So activities here are not just crafty but get those big muscles going. As part of Mommyfest 2008, I’m posting a little intro about me for all the new people ( wave) …so we can get to know each other better. Don’t be shy now and leave a comment .
Hi there!
This is Melitsa Avila from Colorado. I’m a miltary wife and mother of two boys and one little person on the way. I work from home raising two smiley active boys. Originally from the UK, we’ve also lived in Italy for 5 years before stopping here in the US; hence the British English that pops up.
Play-activities started whilst I was in a small Italian village with one then two small children. To find out more about why I started this look here. Play-activities officially launched a year ago this month. Happy Birthday to Play-activities!
Play-activities is a weekly email of educational and fun play-activities for your under 5 child. The idea is to use everyday items from around the home and try a variety of activities not just crafts to have fun with your child. You can sign up or see a sample in the top right hand corner.
When I’m not busy playing around. I can be found listening to podcasts. I produce a roundup of parenting podcasts biweekly- or fortnightly as we say in the UK. There are so many podcasts out there that are unheard of but great. I hope you can dip in and find something you like, spread the word and please, please recommend to me.
I love reading and especially love multicultural children’s books and Barefoot books is a perfect fit for the kids and I. If you’re looking for good children’s stories and beautiful illustrations look no further.
I’m excited to be a part of Mommyfest 2008 and the chance to meet so many talented mommy bloggers.
First book giveaway tomorrow…………..
